UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH
United Women In Faith shall be a community of women
whose PURPOSE is to know God and
to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ;
to develop a creative, supportive fellowship;
and to expand concepts of mission
through participation in the global ministries of the church.
The Mathews Chapel Unit of United Methodist Women meets following worship in September, October, November, January, February, March, April, May, and June.
Members and any interested persons can participate in the UMW Reading Program. The books are housed in the corner of the fellowship hall. A Book Club meeting is held during the summer to discuss one of the books on the Reading List.
There are many opportunities to participate in District and Conference UWFaith programs.
Our pledges, World Thank Offering, Call to Prayer and Self-Denial Offerings, and Candleburning Ceremony support United Women In Faith projects around the world.
All women of the congregation are invited to join UWFaith.
