May 5: Mathews Chapel UMC Farewell Luncheon for Rev. Marcus Stallworth
Takes place immediately following Sunday Worship Service.
The Hospitality Committee & Mathews Chapel UMC will be providing Ham Biscuits. All members of the congregation are kindly asked to bring cold or hot side dishes, and desserts for the Luncheon. This earlier date is due to scheduling conflicts.

APPOINTMENT SUNDAY- APRIL 21, 2024
Sunday, April 21, 2024, was appointment Sunday. Dr. Rev. Marcus Stallworth will be leaving Mathews Chapel UMC and heading for his new appointment to St. James UMC in Hampton, VA. We thank him for all service to Mathews Chapel UMC and the local community.
We will be welcoming Rev. Angeline M. Hoen on July 1, 2024 to Mathews Chapel UMC. She will be leaving her current appointment at Warwick Memorial UMC in Newport News, VA.
MATHEWS MAY FAIRE
Mathews Chapel UMC will have a booth at May Faire on May 4th, 2024, in Mathews, VA. Hours will be approximately from 9 AM to 4 PM. We will need about 2 volunteers per hour for the booth. For those who are interested please text Nancy Keenan at 804-815-4370 or sign up on the list provided at the back of the Church Sanctuary.
